About Legend Berners
I purchased my first Berner in 1988. I immediately fell in love with this breed and
vowed never to be without a Berner, again. My first Berner, Landon, was a pet, but
he introduced me to the world of dog showing.
Most of my dogs are from the kennel of Prairiefire. The Prairiefire kennel only
produces the highest quality Bernese Mountain Dogs. I was lucky enough to find
Sharon and Mark Johnson early in my "Berner Life". Sharon has guided, supported
and taught me everything that I know about this breed.
I have always been in love with Berners for the dogs, themselves. Our dogs are
part of our family. I can't imagine it any other way. Our dogs live in the house with
us and don't even know what a "kennel" is.
Litters
Since 1988 I have only had five litters in my house. This year, 2007, I am planning
on having one litter. Shea was bred in May to Potter. Shea is a granddaughter of
my original brood bitch, Trudy. She is third generation - born and raised in our
house. Potter is PJ 's(Ch. Prairiefire's Bedtime Story) first son and first champion.
